Switzerland – Lugano
Surrounded by snowcapped mountains and renowned for its mild climate, enchanting scenery and luxuriant vegetation, Lugano offered a spectacular winter environment for John’s interpretation. His upcoming work will capture the essence of southern Switzerland’s brilliant skies, almost “stage like” breathtaking scenery of mountains and changing color and clarity of December’s light.

United States – South West – Taos, New Mexico
Nowhere in the Rockies is there such a unique blend of the play of light on color than in Taos, New Mexico. The magnificent scenery and beautiful weather combine to provide excellent inspiration. Through John’s eye, you will experience the varied landscapes of lush forests, arid deserts, rolling plains and soaring mountain ranges of the colorful beauty if this region. John chose Taos for its scenic diversity, unmatched in most states.

Europe – Biarritz, France
John will capture the mystery of Biarritz' prestige and elegance. With strong traditions and rich culture, Biarritz has preserved a certain quality of life in one of the most beautiful regions of France. Originally a quaint fishing village, until the end of 19th century when Napoleon III and the empress Eugenie fell in love with the area’s natural beauty and paid tribute to it by building a palace on the beach, Biarritz is now a cosmopolitan town. Biarritz is situated at the foot of the Pyrenees Mountains in the heart of the Basque region, which extends into Spain. John’s selected this magnificent location for its brilliant, warm light and color during the summer months.

Paris, “The City of Light”, is one of the most enchanting cities in Europe. Its exquisite beauty has long beckoned painters, writers, musicians and lovers, and its architectural and artistic heritage makes for an unforgettable experience – one that becomes even more extraordinary when captured on canvas by John Paul D’Antonio. Seen through John’s eyes, Paris takes on a new magnificence, a new luminosity. John’s paintings of bustling street scenes and smoke-swirled cafes will draw you in until you feel as though a baguette and cappuccino are but an arm’s length away.
